Inaugural Class of Gay Brewer, Jr. Grant Program Recipients Announced

The Kentucky Golf Foundation has announced a new endeavor to support junior golf called the Gay Brewer, Jr. Grant Program. This program has been born from the vision and support of friends of Mr. Brewer, each of whom wanted to create a means in which to honor his legacy and to support junior golfers in Kentucky with the dream of playing golf at the college level and beyond.

The program offers financial assistance to junior golfers in Kentucky who wish to compete in prominent regional and national junior golf competitions, and the enclosed information provides details regarding the grants and the application process. Financial need is the primary determining factor. Administration of the program and disbursement of funds will be overseen by the Kentucky Golf Association in accordance with the USGA’s Rules of Amateur Status.

If this is something that may be of interest to you, I encourage you to apply, and to contact Executive Director Mark Hill with any questions at (502) 243-8295.
