The goals of the Pepsi Junior Golf Tour are:
• to provide competitive events for Kentucky’s junior golfers
• to further develop the playing ability of our junior golfers
• to enable participants to develop new friendships, and
• to encourage sportsmanship while promoting the Rules and etiquette of the game.
The Pepsi Junior Golf Tour has been successful due to the fact we follow published guidelines and procedures. Players and parents are encouraged to review these guidelines to be become familiar with our policies and procedures.

How to Use This Handbook
This handbook is designed to serve as a guide to the PJGT and its various programs. To assure that your child participates in the program's) best suited to his or her ability and interest, please read all information carefully.1. The application must be signed by both the parent and the junior and be on file in the PJGT office.
2. Review all information on the program and each of its events. Juniors may participate in up to eight events on the PJGT.
3. All entry fees must be mailed or delivered to the PJGT office and received prior to any stated deadline. Many events fill before the stated deadline. In such situations you will be notified if your application cannot be accepted or if you have been placed on a waiting list as an alternate.
4. Full payment must accompany all entry forms. Checks should be made payable to KGA-PGA, Inc. Entries for multiple events/programs can be included in one check.
5. Notify the PJGT office immediately of any change in address.
6. All correspondence should include member’s name, address and phone number.
Who is Eligible?
The PJGT is open to boys and girls ages 18 and under as of August 9, 2006. They must either reside in the state of Kentucky or be a member of a golf club in Kentucky. 18 year olds who have attended college will NOT be eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.How To Enter?
Entries will NOT be accepted before February 20, 2006. Complete the PJGT application and mark the eight (8) tournaments you wish to play in with the numbers 1-8 in the tournament preference space. Mark eight (8) alternate tournaments with the letters A-H with A being your most preferred. Entries will be confirmed by mail and or email. Telephone entries will NOT be accepted.Membership & Tournament Fees
These fees cover all costs of membership and golf. PJGT Membership is $70.00 per member. An entry fee of $40.00 ($30.00 for a 9 hole participant- see age groups) will be charged per tournament, up to a maximum of eight (8) tournaments per year.| Example: | $70.00 Membership |

Refunds
Refunds will be granted only to those whose requests are received in writing at the KGA-PGA, Inc. Office at least 10 days prior to the scheduled event. All refunds will be issued at the end of the tournament season. The membership fee of $70 is non-refundable.Rules Exam
All PJGT members are required to complete a rules and etiquette exam before participating in any event. All exams will be mailed April 1 and must be completed and returned by May 19, 2006.Caddies and/or Carts
Caddies and/or carts will not be permitted at any Pepsi Junior Tour event. Each player must walk and carry his or her own clubs. Pull carts are acceptable. A player with a physical disability may request an exemption from this policy from PJGT Officials.Care for the Golf Course
All players are expected to maintain the golf course by repairing ball marks, raking bunkers, replacing divots, picking up and disposing of trash, etc. Any abuse to the course or other club facilities will result in disqualification and/or suspension. All players and parents are also encouraged to thank the host club, staff, and volunteers for their support of junior golf.Dress Code & Conduct Guidelines
Teaching sportsmanship, etiquette, and the Rules of Golf are primary goals of the PJGT. To promote these ideals and to maintain the integrity of the PJGT, the following guidelines for dress and conduct will apply. Tournament officials will enforce these guidelines at all PJGT functions.Dress Code
1. All boys shirts must have collars and sleeves and must be tucked in at all times.2. T-shirts and tank tops are not acceptable.
3. All girls shirts must be golf type shirts. T-shirts and tank tops are not accept able. Girls shirts may or may not have collars and sleeves. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
4. All shorts must be golf type shorts and Bermuda length. Tennis shorts, gym shorts, and short-shorts are not acceptable.
5. Blue jeans are not acceptable.
6. All participants must wear golf or tennis shoes.
7. No visible body piercing except for girls earrings. Boys must remove earrings during events.
Conduct
1. Any conduct that is detrimental to the PJGT will not be tolerated.2. Club throwing is prohibited.
3. Abusive language or profanity is prohibited.
4. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
5. Smoking and/or chewing of tobacco products is prohibited.
6. Drug use is prohibited.
7. Gambling is prohibited.
8. Abuse of club facilities will not be tolerated. Any breach of the above guidelines will result in disqualification from the event where the incident occurred as well as disqualification from the next event entered without refund.
Rules of Play — The 2006-2007 USGA Rules of Golf shall govern all play.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend tournaments.Rules for spectators are as follows:
· Spectator carts are permitted when available and may be rented from the host facility.
· You are required to stay on the cart paths and at least 30 yards away from the players.
· Carts will be required to stay on the cart paths at all times. Anyone utilizing a spectator cart will be expected to honor this requirement. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate loss of spectator cart privileges, and immediate return of the golf cart, without refund, will be required.
· Spectators are allowed to carry water, umbrellas, jackets, towels, and food for the players.
· Spectators are not allowed to give advice to the players. Players may be penalized for a violation.
· Players shall not carry on conversations with spectators. This action could be construed as advice. Players may be penalized for a violation, which could result in disqualification.
· The player is responsible for the actions of his/her spectators.
· Spectators may not carry a player’s golf bag and/or clubs.
Please come out and watch the juniors compete on their own!
Electronic Devices
Participants are prohibited from using electronic devices on the golf course, including distance measuring devices. Parents and spectators are required to turn cell phones on silent or vibrate while on the golf course.Age Divisions

NOTE: A junior may "declare up" to a higher age division if he/she desires; however, once a junior has declared up, he/she MAY NOT return to his/her age division.
Points
Points will be divided if there is a for any place other than first or second.NOTE: Points will be doubled during the Pepsi Tournament of Champions.
Points System

Pepsi Tournament of Champions
$50 Entry - Invitation Only($40 Entry for 9 hole participant)
The Pepsi Tournament of Champions is a year-end invitational tournament for those junior golfers who have qualified based on the following criteria:

| Girls 14 - 15 | Top 10 from PJGT |
| Girls 13 & under | Top 5 from PJGT |
| Boys 17 - 18 | Top 10 from PJGT |
| Boys 15 - 16 | Top 10 from PJGT |

| Boys 11-12 | Top 5 from PJGT |
| Boys 10 & under | Top 5 from PJGT |
2005 PJGT Players of the Year will be exempt into the Tournament of Champions.
The following are exemptions into the Pepsi Tournament of Champions:
Winner of a PJGT event (all age divisions)
Overall Boys and Girls Kentucky Junior AM Champions
Overall Boys and Girls Westfield Junior PGA Champion
The junior that accumulates the most points in his/her events plus the Tournament of Champions will be awarded the "Player of the Year" for his/her respective age division.
Keeping Score
The USGA Rules of Golf Rule 6-6a states:"After each hole the marker should check the score with the competitor and record it. On completion of the round the marker shall sign the card and hand it to the competitor."
Rule 6-6d states: "The competitor is responsible for the correctness of the score recorded for each hole on his card. If he returns a score for any hole lower than actually taken, he shall be disqualified. If he returns a score for any hole higher than actually taken, the score as returned shall stand.”
NOT JUST REVIEW THE FINAL SCORE
Be sure that the score for each hole is correct. Check your scores for each hole, not just the final score or how many over or under par you believe you should be!
Rules Violations & Cheating
Rules violations will be administered by the on-site tournament officials and as prescribed by the USGA Rules of Golf, Junior Golf Director, and KGA-PGA, Inc. Executive Director. Cheating will NOT be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification from the PJGT without refund.Pick-Up Policy
If the junior picks-up (quits) without permission of the Tournament Director before play is OFFICIALLY completed, the player is disqualified (USGA Rule 6-8a) and is automatically suspended from the next PJGT event for which the player is entered or entitled to enter. (If the player is already entered in an event, the entry fee for that event will be forfeited.)Cancellation Policy
It will be at the discretion of the Tournament Director or Host Professional to cancel play. An event will not be canceled due to rain unless the Host Professional/tournament staff deems it necessary. In the event of lightning or other dangerous situations, play will be suspended until conditions are safe. Refunds for an event canceled prior to commencement of play will be issued at the end of the season.Playoff Procedure
Time and weather permitting, all ties for first place will be decided by a hole-by-hole play-off. Ties for second place will be decided by a scorecard play-off using the USGA’s recommended method of matching scorecards.2006 KGA-PGA, INC. JUNIOR GOLF
The tournaments below are either conducted by the KGA-PGA, Inc. or are recognized by the KGA-PGA, Inc. as major statewide events. Points are for overall finish only, not by age division finish. This point list will be a determining factor in selecting the Kentucky Boys Tri-State Team and Girls Challenge Cup Team. The 2006 Girls Challenge Cup and Boys Tri-State Junior will be conducted in Indiana. In addition to the Pepsi Junior Tour and the Pepsi GENERATIONext Junior Series Players’ of the Year, there is also a KGA-PGA, Inc. Boy and Girl Player of the Year award.Points are awarded in the following manner:
